With this brutal cold weather we've been having lately, all anybody is really thinking about wearing are cozy and warm sweaters am I right? Well, ok, I know what we're all actually thinking of wearing is our cozy pj's all day while snuggling up in bed, but unfortunately we all have to be adults so we can't do that. I guess we can settle for the next best thing.
Sweaters are such a great layering piece and I feel like a lot of people don't know all the ways you can style your favorite sweaters. So I'm here to help with that! I grabbed one of my favorite sweaters for layering and styled it three ways.
PS: These sweaters are the worst to keep unwrinkled. I put on a jacket and when I took it off to do photos it looked like it was never ironed.
Adding a flannel.
This is a great use of a sweater when it's really cold outside because you gets lots of layers! I love layering with a flannel because it adds prints to simple solid color pieces and also dresses up the look. Pro tip: layer a flannel under a sweatshirt for a casual, dressy look!
Layering with lace details.
The main reason I bought this lace tank was for layering and it's one of the best layering pieces I've ever purchased. It's such a fun and flirty detail to add to your favorite sweater.
Adding a vest.
This is a simple way to style your sweaters but always a good goto. With a vest you're able to add all the details you want. You can layer with a flannel and finish the look off with a vest, add some statement jewelry, or even a good blanket scarf! My favorite is adding a vest with designs, like this camo one, so it adds a nice pop of detail.
