Animal Prints In The Workplace

Animal prints seem to be a huge trend this season. Ok, maybe just cheetah prints but today's look is all about snake prints. I've had these pants for YEARS.. really here's a picture from 2014! Over the years they've definitely been an item I've neglected but I decided to bring them back out and style them for the office.

Animal prints usually have a mind of their own, so when it comes to styling them for the workplace try not to go overboard. Here are a couple helpful tips:

- When styling a pair of animal print pants, pair them with a solid neutral colored shirt. It can be anything from a t-shirt, sweater, or dressy work top. Whatever you choose the neutral color will even the look out. I decided to base my entire look around neutrals and the outfit flowed together perfectly.  The ruffle details in the shirt also added a fun element to the whole look!

- When wearing an animal print top don't be afraid to add a little color. If you have a colored sweater or blazer that pairs good with your animal print, wear it! A lot of people aim towards red when it comes to cheetah print, but mustard yellows work really well too. Really it all depends on what animal print you're using.

- Animal print is only tacky if you make it tacky. This is a print that speaks for itself, so when it comes to accessorizing keep it very minimal. Add some diamonds or small hoop earrings or even a light arm party to finish the look off. Also don't be afraid to accessorize WITH animal print! Meaning animal print shoes to finish off a solid-colored look or an animal print jacket/blazer.
